Vue 4 Featured During Steve Jobs Keynote Address



APPLE RECOGNIZES INNOVATIVE 3D INDUSTRY APPLICATIONS

September 16, 2002. Paris, France. - Leading 3D developer e-on software, maker of the award winning, cross-platform Vue 4, Mover 4 and Ozone 2.0 received special recognition at Apple Expo 2002.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs highlighted 3D applications in his Apple Expo 2002 keynote address, featuring e-on software's award winning 3D scenery creator Vue 4, together with Maya 4.5 and Cinema 4D R8. Richard Kerris, Apple's Director of Developer Technologies, demonstrated how convincing 3D scenery could be created using Vue"...in under a minute!". "This program creates environments that can be used for games, feature films, graphics design..." added Richard Kerris.

Starting with an empty screen, Richard Kerris demonstrated the ease with which he could create realistic vegetation, sculpt terrains in real-time using the terrain editor, add water and render a high quality picture. He then went on to displaying a QuickTime movie rendered with Vue 4 and concluded the keynote presentation by adding that: "...all this could be done with a program that costs less than $200!".

Mac OS X provides a robust environment for 3D solutions, as demonstrated by Vue 4 and Mover 4".

Vue 4 for Mac OS X premiered at Macworld 2002 in San Francisco, where it received a Best of Show award. In July 2002, e-on software released Mover 4 and Ozone 2.0 at SIGGRAPH 2002 in San Antonio, Texas. Mover 4, an expansion product for Vue 4, adds powerful network rendering that enables Vue 4 to render using all processors available on every Mac OS X enabled computer across a network, new animation effects, integration for direct import of Poser animations and several high quality 3D models.

Vue 4 and Mover 4 are available in English, French, German and Japanese, with a USSRP of $199 and $99. Ozone 2.0 is available in English, with a retail price of $249.
