I'm not the most patient person in the world so renders that take over 2 or 3 hours tend to get try my patience.

Each of these images were rendered upwards of 4000 pixels across (about 3000 veritcal)... on a Core2Duo laptop at 2.4ghz. None of them took over 2 hours to render. It's all in the various quality / detail settings scattered through each tab in Vue.

Thank you. I have to admit the teeny size here doesn't do the originals justice Smile

Great renders Eric - and encouraging. I've used Vue for years but there is always something new to learn. Dig deep enough and there are many settings, any one of which can easily halve the render times.

For example, in that great tip about cloud settings, disabling Internal shadows and Cast shadows really sped things up). The quality boost in the Sky and Fog tab really made a big difference too in this scene. It's amazing how similar and acceptable results can be obtained, at a significantly quicker render time, after ferreting around in the settings.

Smile

He won't have this out for a few months and who knows he may add artists support eventually.

Eric why are you always so negative. Dax has made some of the most useful tools for vue that have taken people from average users to pros in short periods of time. his tools and tutorials are all AAA rated imo. Everything he's showed and taught me in the past has been reality, his masterclass was superb, why would he lie?
