>>This may be the main reason people MIGHT lose interest, its not the tech, its the lack of content mostly.<<
Totally agree.
I think that sort of sums up why, for now at least, people are like, "why bother?"
What I think might happen is a period of inactivity in the 3D TV world... then in about 3, 4 years a real solid tech will come out that will finally push people over the edge.
Sort of like HDTV. That took awhile to really catch on as well. What's the point buying an HDTV if there's like 3 channels to watch?
NOW.... almost everything, even older stuff is HD... almost every channel is or has an alternate HD channel.
So you'd be foolish now to not buy a good HDTV. (plus they are dirt cheap, compared to like 4 years ago).
We bought one 5 years ago. $3500. It weighed like 100 pounds, was about 4 inches think. (This was one of the better and thinner ones at the time).
Now, Insanely better TV today, bigger, better tech everything? Weighs about $20 pounds. Ridiculous 50+ inches? $350.
That's CRAZY..... but so hey... now everyone can get an HDTV.
3D TV's will have to go through a similar change to make it work.

A lot of people will buy a 3DTV and then never bother to get the glasses for it. Like many, I'm waiting for 3DTVs that don't require glasses. In three years (depending on the economy) Microsoft make have something that's practical. Just like their Kinect is now (which took years before it took off). _________________ http://www.youtube.com/user/shawndriscollcg
